Renovate Open Door Mission’s Historic Building

One of our primary initiatives currently is to breathe new life into Open Door Mission’s historic building in Oakland, California. Our goal is to not only preserve the architectural heritage, but also to revitalize its purpose for our updated vision & strategy. The renovations will include updates to adhere to all local, state, and municipal codes, and ensure the safety and compliance of the structure while still preserving its historical integrity. We will create an office space to support all administrative needs of our organization along with a comprehensive update to the building's commercial kitchen facilities. The lower floor will be transformed into a versatile space for events and gatherings, fostering community engagement and providing a hub for cultural enrichment. This ambitious project not only revitalizes a piece of Oakland's history but also strengthens Open Door Mission’s capacity to serve its community in innovative ways.
